January in Waterloo
January is a strange month in Waterloo. People are still half-asleep, but a few have decided, during the holidays, to change their life.
The first: a couple returning from abroad, in a hurry. We found within two weeks. A house they wouldn't have seen in summer — too quiet, too tucked away. In January, quiet was exactly what they were after.
The second: siblings in an inheritance. Three brothers, three visions. Three separate meetings before a fourth together. We sold in March — because the file was ready by January.
The third: a hesitant couple. We viewed fourteen properties. They took nothing. We meet again in six months. It's not a failure — it's a search that wasn't ripe.
January never looks like what we expect. It's often where everything begins.
